The fashion magazines, television and movies have the opportunity to change the appearance. Especially magazines that is how to do. Check this out is a good example of editing that all images of the model is to be seen.

Because it is ordinary people.
The non-average people in the review. That diet and work all the time. They have a stylist to help them, their eyes so far. And the designers give clothes to wear (for free) to help the designer to become famous. Then retouchers.While photo of us little people do not spend much money (try) to follow the stars. It is really an illusion.
What's on TV is the glamor and fantasy. Nobody wants to see every day on TV, all the time.
Because the rest of us do not have the benefit of stylists, hairdressers, makeup artists, directors, lighting and photo retouching.
